The entire workforce behind the company are the main contributers of the content in the SoMeCentral app, but the entire tool is intended to target people working with marketing, employee branding, education or for documentation purposes.
The tool comes in two parts:
The smartphone app for Android and iOS is the content creation tool for your coworkers.
The web app is the Administrator tool, where photos and videos are approved or deleted.
The web app is the place for all other administrative tasks like user administration, and general account and company configuration.
You can set up your company account by being the first one in your company or organization in two different ways.
- Web App (administrator module)
- Visit the web app app.somecentral.com
Use the “Create a new company” option.
Download the app on your smartphone.
As the first user, you must use the “Create a new company” at the bottom of the splash screen.
The “I have an invitation” is only for inviting others (extra users and administrators) into your SoMeCentral account.
If you are the first user, you will by default be assigned with administrator rights.
If you create an account name that is already taken, you will be asked to rename your account name.
You must use an email and your phone number.
SoMeCentral will give you a 4-digit pin code to log into the app.
The first time you log into the app.somecentral.com system with your pin code as an administrator, you are required to change your password into a real password, but the pin code on your smartphone app remain the 4 (four) digit pin code you got from SoMeCentral.
The SoMeCentral smartphone app can be downloaded on Android (Play Store) and iOS devices. (App Store)
The app is the content creation part of the SoMeCentral system.
We recommend that users are placing the SoMeCentral icon next to your native camera app on your device because it will make the use super easy.
The individual users can see the content they are creating or importing into the app.
The users are NOT able to see others content. (Only exeption is when admins have approved the media file(s) and made it "Public on mobile")
SoMeCentral DO NOT expose your private content, so your privacy is honored and fully secure!
The app user can import pictures and videos from the camera roll, but this feature manual, and in total control of the app user.
The first time an app user is trying to create a photo or video SoMeCentral will prompt the user to accept the Terms and conditions.
If Terms and conditions are not approved, the user is not allowed to create or import content from the app.
The app will always open the “My Content” page.
This page is a visual overview of all content created, photos and videos. At the top right there is a menu icon known as a “burger.”
Below all content is displayed in date order. Initially, it will be empty, until you start taking photos and videos.
At the bottom, you can see two pink circles. The one on the left “ADD PHOTO with a + icon” take you to the camera function.
To the right, you have a “JOIN EVENT” icon with to persons.
Pressing the “ADD PHOTO” button activates the camera function In the SoMeCentral smartphone app.
The camera function lets you decide to take a photo or a video. You can select front or rear-view camera on your smartphone.

This icon tells you that the photo or video has been delivered to the server, and you now have 30 minutes to delete the photo or video, without your Administrator can see the content.
Each square is a thumbnail of the content stored. Some thumbnails will have a video recorder icon, indicating a that that piece of content is a video.
Each content square has a selection circle in the top right corner. If you press it, you will be able to delete or to PUSH the content.
Deleting the content will remove it from the SoMeCentral system, but not from your camera roll. At the bottom left side, you can use the PUSH function.
The Push function is useful when you need to let your administrator see your content before the 30 minutes “suspense time for deletion” have gone.
The user must select the specific photo or video and use the PUSH function for each media file, the app user wants to be visible for the administrator.

All events generated by users are local events, and they can only be assigned to one or more departments where the user is assigned to.
Events are open to all users in the same SoMeCentral account.
Content created with the event can help the Administrator to validate incoming content, and to act as a piece of basic information for telling great stories when posting on any social media- or digital platform.
